Benita Grunseth
Contemporary Abstract Artist
The artwork of Benita finds its home in abstract expression, a medium that communicates what cannot easily be spoken. Although her professional background is rooted in the physical and psychological healing sciences, visual art has been a lifelong calling. Even during her early career, her creative impulse showed through as spontaneous drawings and sketches on meeting agendas.
A dedicated lifelong learner, Benita has formally studied a vast range of disciplines, including sculpture, fiber arts, gouache, watercolor, alcohol ink, and acrylics. She is uniquely drawn to the ambiguity of abstract art, inviting viewers to project their own personal experiences and perspectives onto her work. This open-ended approach grants her total freedom to experiment with rich combinations of colors and diverse mediums.
