Gail Sacharczuk
Contemporary Abstract Artist
A Philly girl at heart, Gail has been creating art for as long she can remember, and was fortunate to turn this lifelong passion into a career. After studying painting and fashion design, Gail built a successful career as a clothing and graphic designer/developer in the athletic apparel industry. Gail's designs have always been driven by a strong sense of color, dynamic shapes and a strong sense of history. Her travels around the world greatly influenced her artistic perspective, while the striking beauty of New Mexico resonated deeply during her many visits. Feeling a strong connection to the Land of Enchantment, Gail retired in 2021 to fully embrace life as a full-time artist within its vibrant creative community.
Gail's work blends oil and pastel painting, mixed media, collage, and printmaking with a love for unique observational viewpoints in her representational art and a strong active sense of color, texture and mark-making in her abstraction work. From portraits to sweeping landscapes to the endless possibilities of abstract exploration, Gail embraces experimentation across a wide range of media, while strong structural and visual elements remain at the heart of every piece.
